Adam Curtis, DDS
I am so excited to be able to work at Minnesota Sedation Dental. It is a pleasure to work with people who before were so scared of the dentist and now are so grateful that someone can finally make them comfortable in the dental office. We have trained extensively to ensure that every visit is both comfortable and safe.
I have a wonderful wife and three kids that give me so much joy. I love biking and skiing and spend most of my free time doing one of those two activities. I am an active member of my church and have served missions to help spread the joy in which I have been blessed. I was born and raised in Cambridge, attended Cambridge High School, and started my higher education in Cambridge. I attended dental school at the University of Minnesota and had the privilege of being student body and class president while there. My wife and I are happy to be raising our children in the Fish Lake area.
It is an honor to serve this wonderful community where I grew up and now raise my own children. I hope that I may continue to work in this area and help all those who want more options to being comfortable at the dental office.
I grew up and graduated high school in St. Michael-Albertville, Minnesota. I continued my education at the University of Minnesota Morris campus where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with Honors. My journey took me to Mayo Clinic where I worked in a clinical Molecular Genetics Laboratory. I attended dental school at the University of Minnesota and graduated in 2010. I was proud to receive upon graduation the Irwin A. Epstein Award for Clinical Endodontics. Prior to joining the Minnesota Sedation Dental team in 2017, I provided care to a nearby community for seven years.
I met my best friend and husband, Eric, through mutual friends in dental school. He grew up in the area; therefore, we decided to make this our home. We are blessed with two adorable children; our aspiring princess Gracelyn and our newest addition Reed. We also have a nutty English Cocker named Lena. As a family, we enjoy camping and fishing as well as traveling. When I get rare moments away from my family and work, I enjoy reading and scrapbooking.
My desire to have a career in dentistry started as a 10-year-old child with an awkward smile. My dentist/orthodontist helped me learn to appreciate the smile I had but most importantly he gave me a smile I could be proud of. Every day I get the incredible opportunity to help patients love and appreciate their smile. I strive to build lasting relationships with my patients through honesty, trust, and respect. I understand that the dental chair is one of the last places anyone wants to be; therefore, I do everything I can to provide the highest quality of care that is comfortable and efficient for patients of all ages.

When I was younger I knew that I wanted to do something in the health field. I wanted to be able to go to work knowing that I could improve someone’s health in one way or another.
I met my husband the first year I was starting college and he already knew what he wanted to do for a living, be a dentist! While trying to decide which direction to go for my career he suggested I look into dentistry. To make a long story short, I’ve been in the dental field since 2001 and I can truly say that my job gives me the opportunity to help improve the lives of my patients.
We are blessed with three wonderful children, Julia, Olivia, and Victor. When I am not busy with my family or work I like to sew, read, exercise, and travel. We are very active and love to ski in Utah in the winter, and we love to bike and be outside in Minnesota in the summer.
I am grateful that we are able to have a business in this community and to be able to meet such wonderful people each week. It is my goal to make coming to the dentist a better experience for our patients and to give each of them the best care we have to offer.

Marisa Hough, RDH: Hygienist
My name is Marisa and I am one of the Dental Hygienists at Minnesota Sedation Dental. I graduated from Argosy University and I absolutely love what I do! I have been fascinated with dentistry for as long as I can remember and I am so glad I took a leap of faith and decided to make it my career. I feel so grateful to be a part of such a great team and an office where patients are not just treated as numbers.
I grew up in North Branch and currently reside there with my fiancé and our little boy. I love being able to work in a community that is so close to home. When I have free time, I love being outside, going up north and doing all of the typical Minnesota activities!
